"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (NKJV)
Such an empowering verse. When this principle is applied to your life you will gain a greater understanding of who God is and what Christ came to do.
In this passage, Paul states that he is never in need, no matter the circumstance. He then writes this verse as the source of his supply. He states that, whether he is hungry or full, he is at peace in Christ. That is what Paul is referencing with this verse. The fact that Christ is all we need and that, if we have Christ, then our circumstances are irrelevant in regards to our peace.
This verse holds a special place in my life as it is one of the verses that I have successfully applied to my life (most of the time). Whenever I have been getting stressed about something I have been able to turn to God and he gave me peace. Now, most circumstances that stress people won't affect me in the same way. I am at peace when everyone around me is in turmoil, for I have found the peace that comes only from God. This is the life God wants you to live. No matter what circumstances you are in, no matter how much you are suffering, you can be at peace in Christ our Lord.
As I meditated on this verse I began to realise that it meant exactly what it said. It says that we can do all things, not some things or most things but all things through Christ. This is when I started to believe God for miracles and I am pleased to say he has not let me down. I have seen supernatural healings in response to my prayers, I have seen prophetic words coming true and I have seen the wind stop on command. I encourage you, dare to believe God for the impossible, for all things can be done through him.
No matter what you are going through right now, no matter what your circumstances, know that you can do all things through Christ. If you are stressed you can be at peace, if you are sick or injured you can be healed. Even if the world says it's impossible, God is a God of the impossible, he can do all things.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank you for being my comforter when I need comfort. Thank you for being my healer when I need healing. Thank you that you are with me and help me throughout my life. I pray that I become more confident in you so that I can live my life to the fullest. Amen
